2. Each group will select at least 1 leader for the activity for its smooth execution and timely com-
pletion
3. Each group will take the different areas for Energy audit like Classrooms (At-least 4 in 1 floor),
Entrance and Assembly Hall, Library and Canteen, Corridors (At least 4), Toilets (Both Girls and
Boys), Computer Room/Hall, Staff Rooms, etc.
4. Each group will audit the assigned area at-least 3 times in a day (Morning, Lunch, after school
hours or just before the closing of school).
5. Visit your assigned/selected area and record the Energy consumption in Audit sheet.
Points to remember -
Each school is different – you will need to find a convenient time to conduct the energy audit. Make sure
that you have agreed on the energy audit with all members of staff that may be involved. If some areas
of the school are locked, you will need to get the caretaker onboard.
HOW TO START?

- Discuss the Plan of Action, and the responsibility of each group. Timing for the activity - 5 minutes.
- Take print outs of Energy Audit sheets in advance and distribute to each group before going out for
the activity.
- Divide the responsibilities amongst group members, areas to be visited, points for observation and
checkpoints, record keeping, monitoring, etc.
- Explain the importance of the activity to all students.

is a process that will identify the most effective activities and strategies for our school to reduce its energy
